Participation since1998 with “Dane County United Way” fund raiser. The salon’s contribution in 2008 was $10,087.00 with 102% employee participation, giving us a “Gold Contributor” award. Contributions are in excess of $102,727.00. 2006 – 2008 involved with the”Dane County Holiday Teen Gift Program”. A sponsor for the “Susan G. Kolmen, Madison Race for the Cure” since 1998 through 2008, a run to raise money to find a cure for breast cancer. Guests and staff of our company have made donations since 2003 to date for a grand total of $25,941.60.

During the months of May and October guests may wear a pink strand of hair to show their support in Breast Cancer Awareness. The cost of each strand is $12 and a donation of $5 goes to the Breast Cancer foundations. Since its beginning donations total $1,912.25.

• “Transition 89” Free salon services for Dane County’s homeless 1988-89 then coordinating and producing a fashion show which raised $12,000 to help rebuild a home for “Transitional Housing” in Madison.
