"Transition 89" - Free salon services for Dane County's homeless 1988-89 then coordinating and producing a fashion show which raised $12,000 to rebuild a home for Transitional Housing in Madison.
Dane County - United Way Participation since 1988. The salon's contribution in 2007 was $9,522.50 with almost 100% employee participation, giving us a "Gold Contributor" award. Contributions are in excess of $92,640.00.
Since 1995, we adopted a family for the holidays through he Salvation Army providing haircuts, food and gifts.
2006 - 2007 involved with the "Dane County Holiday Teen Gift Program."
2007 Fund Raiser for Jeannie Spahn, an employee who developed Lymphoma raising in excess of $18,000.00 to help with her expenses.
Involved with 'Duck Dash" 1997/98/99 raising funds for Hospice in the Madison community.
A sponsor for the "Susan G. Kolmen, Madison Race for Cure" since 1998 through 2007. A run to raise money to find a cure for breast cancer. Guests of our company have made donations since 2003 to date for a grand total of $18,856.12.
Our Service Providers and Guests donated $1.329.25 to the Domestic Abuse Intervention Services in 2003.
Ongoing donations of gift certificates to local organizations to help with their needs.
